Several Sensor Approaches that Retrofit Large Surfaces for Interactivity
نویسنده
چکیده
Several different techniques are described for turning a large wall into an interactive surface. These include capacitive sensing of arm and body gesture, scanning laser rangefinders for tracking hands above video walls, passive tracking of knocks on large plates of glass with distributed acoustic pickups, and the detection of touch via frustrated total internal reflection.

A multi-hop PSO based localization algorithm for wireless sensor networks
A sensor network consists of a large number of sensor nodes that are distributed in a large geographic environment to collect data. Localization is one of the key issues in wireless sensor network researches because it is important to determine the location of an event. On the other side, finding the location of a wireless sensor node by the Global Positioning System (GPS) is not appropriate du...
متن کاملDynamic Characteristics Identification for an Arch Bridge Using Wireless Sensor Networks before and after Seismic Retrofit; the Application to Model Updating
Functionalities of wireless sensors to measure bridge dynamic behavior are maturing; dense measurements of large structures are expected to reveal details of the behavior of existing structures. Traffic-induced vibrations at an arch bridge, instrumented by 48 wireless smart sensors, were measured before and after seismic retrofit of the structure. The differences between the measured dynamic ch...
متن کاملTowards Data-driven Building Retrofit
Due to the relatively low construction rate of new buildings in Europe, the energetic performance of the building stock can mainly be improved by retrofitting existing buildings. Current methods to derive and assess retrofit measures require either on-site inspection by an expert consultant and code based approaches, or numerical simulations using a building energy model that needs to be first ...
متن کاملTracking Control of Uncertain Non - Iinear MIMO System Using Modified Sliding Surfaces for Attitude Large Maneuver of Satellites on Orbit
Designing a robust tracking control for a non-linear MIMO system with uncertainty is one of the most complicated control problems. In this paper, sliding mode changed to non-linear controllable canonical form by input-output linearization. This, sliding surfaces can be defined in a way that we can de-couple equations and indicate the sliding conditions of multi-variable controller system. The u...
